Samuel McIntosh is a writer/director from Southern California creating thrilling, genre-bending films. He’s written and directed narrative shorts that have screened around the world, as well as produced films screened at Sundance and purchased by Showtime/Hulu. He founded the independent genre film production company Void Productions in 2017, which supports works from upcoming artists and hosts screening events worldwide, including sold-out shows in Los Angeles and Japan.
His latest short film, Metal, premiered in Paris, where it took home the Audience Award for Best American Short at the 2025 Champs-Élysées Film Festival.
He’s currently on the festival circuit and developing his feature debut.
